MAWAR RESIDENTIAL
Bali - Indonesia
The foundation of the home is built on a selection of materials chosen for their integrity, longevity, and soul.
Recycled teak sets the tone — rich, warm, deeply textured — grounding the home with a subtle sense of memory. Its imperfections, patina, and grain are not hidden; they are celebrated, becoming a counterpoint to the cooler, more minimal elements in the space.
Brushed stainless steel appears throughout the home, not as an industrial statement, but as a sculptural one. Custom joinery, shelving, and contemporary lighting introduce a reflective clarity that balances the organic weight of the timber. The stainless steel pieces were designed to feel quiet, architectural, and intentional — a material that both grounds and elevates.
A gentle thread of blue runs through the project: painted details in the bedroom, a pastel coffee table in the living area, subtle accents that cool the palette and guide the eye.
Blue becomes a breath.
A pause.
A quiet moment within a warm and grounded material world.
